STAFF REPORT

The San Marcos Area Chamber of Commerce recently held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for Brookfield Residential at their latest model home opening in Blanco Vista.

Houston-based CastleRock Communities recently became the third homebuilder — along with PaceSetter Homes and Homes by Avi — to offer houses in Blanco Vista subdivision, a 575-acre masterplanned community in northern San Marcos.

“We are pleased to add CastleRock Communities to our family of builders at Blanco Vista. Our vision for Blanco Vista is to provide a community that significantly enhances the way of life for our residents. CastleRock Communities perfectly complements both our existing building partners and our extensive array of community amenities,” Brookfield Residential’s Austin vice president for operations.

“We are proud to add CastleRock Community to the Blanco Vista family,” said Edjuan Bailey, Brookfield’s marketing director. “We now have three builders and five models open and more on the way. Our mission is to improve the lives of our customers by providing a master-planned community with amenities that make a difference and builders that understand their needs.”

Hosted by the chamber’s Ambassadors Club, the ribbon cutting was attended Walt Elias, Brookfield’s development manager; Bailey; and Tim McFadden, sales representative for CastleRock.

Brookfield entered the Austin market as Carma Texas in 2004 and opened Blanco Vista in 2007. The neighborhood includes a community center, Hays CISD elementary school and Blanco River access at Five Mile Dam park.
