Viva! Cinco de Mayo

The celebration of Hispanic heritage includes music, food, a parade, state championship menudo cook-off, folkloric dancers and a beauty pageant. The weekend starts with performances by local bands at the free kickoff.

Location: Hays County Civic Center, 1249 Civic Center Loop

Time: Kickoff event is at 7 p.m. Friday, May 4. Parade starts at 9 a.m. Saturday, May 5.


Heritage Home Tour

Docents will guide visitors through the halls of homes within several local historical districts. Website here.

San Marcos Bird Walk
