Part of series on Texas water issues, this PBS NewsHour segment pays a visit to Tank Town in Dripping Springs and talks with its founder, rainwater harvesting evangelist Richard Heinichen.
“It really opens up people’s mind and you starting thinking about the possibilities. From the cost benefit, it’s the same amount of money, but its a trust thing,” Heinichen said.
He tells PBS NewsHour you can harvest 5,500 gallons from an one-inch rain on a 1,000 square feet of surface area.
