Rio Vista Terrace

The City of San Marcos Engineering/Capital Improvements Department will hold a neighborhood meeting at 6 p.m. Thursday, March 29, to report on the status of the Rio Vista Terrace Improvements Project.

All Rio Vista neighbors and interested citizens are encouraged to attend. The meeting will be held at the San Marcos Nature Center, 430 Riverside Drive.

City engineer Jennifer Shell and project manager Jaime Sanchez will conduct the meeting.

Nearing completion, the Rio Vista Terrace neighborhood rehabilitation project included the relocation of residential water service lines and meters, new sewer service lines, storm water culvert installation and street reconstruction. The project began in March 2010.

Representatives from Texas Sterling Construction and additional city staff will be on hand to answer questions and provide information for owners and residents regarding details and the scheduling of the final improvements.

  1. All i can say is that i hope the city is smart enough to never use texas sterling construction again. what a horrible, slow, disorganized, and rude company. If you watched any part of this project you would agree that it was an overall mess. As a resident of this neighborhood, i would have appreciated a flier on my door to tell me about this meeting so i could have shown up and voiced my disapproval in person, instead I had to read about it in the mercury the day after…
