P&Z extends sign up period for public comments

The San Marcos Planning and Zoning Commission will extend the sign up period to speak at meetings beginning with its next meeting on Feb. 14.

Citizens wishing to speak may sign in at the Development Services Planning Office in the Municipal Building, 2nd floor during regular business hours from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. on the day of the meeting or from 5 p.m.-5:45 p.m. at City Council Chambers at City Hall.

Written comments may be submitted to the Planning Office during those same hours on commission meeting days.

In order to speak at the meeting, participants must sign up in advance, will have one opportunity to speak, and must observe a three minute time limit.

Attendees may speak during a 30-minute Citizen Comment Period at the beginning of the meeting or during a public hearing on an agenda item.

Written comments or request forms may be emailed on the day of the meeting to planning_info@sanmarcostx.gov or faxed to 512.396.9190.
