San Marcos police are investigating an auto-pedestrian collision that claimed the life of a San Marcos man Tuesday around 8:45 p.m. Police withheld his name pending the notification of next of kin.
The accident occurred in the 1100 block of Highway 123 in San Marcos. According to Commander Bob Klett, the man was on the west side of the road when he stepped in front of a vehicle that was traveling south.
The driver stopped at the scene. Police have not released the identity of the driver and are continuing their investigation.
