Hays County is in the process of developing a master plan for the Jacob’s Well Natural Area and is inviting the public to a discussion of development options at an open house on Jan. 19.
“We envision the property becoming a premier attraction for local residents and visitors and want to ensure that we have a comprehensive master plan that guides development, activities and resource management for the 81-acre site,” said grants administrator Jeff Hauff.
“Hays County wants to hear from the public about features they’d like to see incorporated in the Natural Area, and we want to make sure residents have an opportunity to hear about the site analysis and associated factors that will help determine how the land should be used,” Hauff said.
The county has selected Austin-based RVI, a landscape architecture and planning firm, to facilitate and compile the master plan, which is expected to be finished sometime this spring.
The meeting is set for 6:30-8:30 p.m. Jan. 19 at the Wimberley Community Center, 14068 Ranch Road 12. For information, contact Hauff at firstname.lastname@example.org or 512-393-2211.Email | Print
