San Marcos CISD Superintendent Mark E. Eads announced the reassignments of four assistant principals to new schools effective Jan. 2.

• Richard Mendez (formerly of San Marcos High School) joined De Zavala Elementary.
• Maria Alvar ado (formerly of De Zavala Elementary) joined San Marcos High School.
• Simon Ramirez (formerly of SMHS) joined Miller Middle School.
• Ricardo Soliz (formerly of Miller Middle School) joined San Marcos High School.

Eads said he made the changes to maximize the assistant principals’ strengths.

“My observations over the past seven months warranted that I reassign these staff members to better serve the District’s needs,” Eads said.
