Central Texas Medical Center’s Institute for Healthy Living is hosting “Cozy Crock Pot Creations” next week to offer instruction on the preparation of healthy, non-labor-intensive meals.
The demonstration will focus on healthy meals that can be easily prepared using a crock pot. The program includes unique recipes along with samples and handouts of the recipes. The demonstration, led by CTMC’s Dietary and Nutrition Team, will be Wednesday, Dec. 7 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the hospital’s Community Classroom. The hospital is located at 1301 Wonder World Drive in San Marcos.
”We all crave a good, warm meal during the cold, winter months,” said Alicia Westfall, CTMC Food and Nutrition Services Manager. “Our Dietary and Nutrition Team has wonderful ideas to make a quick crock pot meal while maintaining a healthy lifestyle.”
The CTMC Institute for Healthy Living is pleased to offer a number of programs that emphasize living healthy and eating right. Programs include HealthCheck, Way 2 Go Kids, Weight Watchers and others.
