San Marcos Mayor Daniel Guerrero recently proclaimed Nov. 30-Dec. 3 as Sights and Sounds of Christmas Weekend.

This year marks the 25th anniversary of Sights and Sounds, the annual family festival that draws thousands of visitors. The event will be at City Park from 5:00 p.m.-11:00 p.m. on the aforementioned days and feature live music, arts and craft booths, a life-sized snow globe, free photos with Santa, a 70-foot synthetic ice skating rink, face painting, a train exhibit, and a large food court.

Nov. 30 will feature half-priced carnival rides. A four-day “FastPass” is available for $6 at the San Marcos Activity Center or the Parks and Recreation Office. The Seton 5K & Reindeer Dask Kids 1K start at 9:00 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 3 in San Marcos Plaza Park. To register for the 5k/1k, visit http://www.sights-n-sounds.org/.
