Man flees after robbing Buda credit union

Buda police are searching for a man who robbed the Austin Telco Credit Union at gunpoint Tuesday morning.

In a news release, police Chief Bo Kidd says: On November 15th, 2011 at approximately 9am, Buda Police Officers responded to a Bank Robbery at the Austin Telco Credit Union in the 300 block of Old San Antonio Road. Upon Officers arrival, it was determined that the suspect entered the bank displaying a handgun and demanding money. The suspect was given an undisclosed amount of cash and fled on foot.

The suspect was described as a Hispanic male, in his mid 20s or early 30s. The suspect was wearing a White UT cap, a grey pullover hoodie w/ pouch. He wore sunglasses and a white bandana with black detail around his face. Anyone with information regarding the robbery or a possible identity of the suspect is asked to call the Buda Police Department at 512-312-1001.
