A husband and wife were found with gunshot wounds early Sunday morning in the 400 Block of Wild Rose Drive near Dripping Springs.

Lara Joseph, 40, was pronounced deceased on scene by Justice of the Peace Terry Kyle. Leonard Joseph, 47, was transported to UMC-Brackenridge by San Marcos/Hays County Emergency Medical Services.

The Hays County Sheriff’s Office had dispatched officers to the scene at about 3:45 a.m. in response to a report of two people with gunshot wounds.

No one else was located at the residence, according to the Sheriff’s Office. The Hays County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident and released no other information.
