The Gary Job Corps Center in San Marcos this month celebrated the graduations of 57 students at a ceremony where San Marcos Mayor Daniel Guerrero was the guest speaker.
Guerrero spoke to graduates, students, staff and guests of the need to continually set goals and maintain good relationships with co-workers and friends.
The center, which holds one graduation ceremony each month, has graduated 1,200 students so far this year, said Randolph Goodman, Gary Job Corps business community liaison. Goodman said the new graduates will enter the workforce, continue their education, or join the military.
Gary Job Corps provides training in more than 25 vocational offerings in three fields: Construction & Manufacturing, Health Sciences, and Human Services and Information Technology.
