SUBMITTED REPORT

Sights & Sounds of Christmas Gala organizers are urging residents to reserve their tickets now for what they promise will be an entertaining event. The annual gala will be held Nov. 29 at the San Marcos Rec Center amongst the lights in City Park, benefiting Sights & Sounds of Christmas.

It begins at 6 p.m. on the eve of the Sights & Sounds festival. A seated dinner, featuring holiday cuisine provided by Palmer’s Restaurant, Bar & Courtyard, will be followed by the featured entertainment, country singer, Dave Jorgenson.

Tickets to the gala are $45 each and table sponsorships for eight guests are available for $450 or for 10 guests at $550. Tickets are by reservation only and are not available at the door. Contact Heather Powdrill, gala co-chair, at 393.8420 for reservations or more information.

The gala’s silent auction has raised funds for many years for Sights & Sounds. Donating an item to the Gala auction presents a prime opportunity for you to put your business directly in front of one of the top target markets in the San Marcos area. The Silent Auction also welcomes decorated trees and wreaths and has become a favorite attraction of the event. Silent Auction donors will be recognized in the program, as well as thanked from the podium alongside the Sights & Sounds Gala sponsors: Palmer’s Restaurant, Bar & Courtyard, Little Guys Movers, and Cavender’s Boot City.

Proceeds from the holiday gala benefit the Sights & Sounds of Christmas, a four-day festival beginning on Nov. 30 on the banks of the San Marcos River. The 25th annual festival features thousands of holiday lights, a synthetic skating rink, food for all tastes, rides, angel choirs, historic Bethlehem animals and visits and photos with Jolly St. Nick himself. More information on the Sights & Sounds of Christmas festival is available at www.sights-n-sounds.org.
