SMCISD art students show their work in Austin

Five SMCISD students recently demonstrated their artistic skills for the Texas Association of School Boards/School Administrators conference in Austin.

The Texas Art Education Association sponsors an annual show of student artwork from across the state at the conference; this year, the association added a booth for art demonstrations by Central Texas art students.

two Crockett Elementary students, Jillian Botello and Brodie Romero, showed their work at the conference. Also representing San Marcos CISD in the student art exhibit were art works by San Marcos High School students Chelsey Keeter, Marisa Arceneaux, and Julie Hill, all members of the Arts & Communications Academy at the high school.
