Hays County Crime Stoppers is trying to help the Buda Police Department solve a robbery that happened last month.
On Sept. 17 at about 1:30 a.m., two Hispanic males stole three cases of beer from the Speedy Stop Convenience Store at 5003 Overpass Road (near the Interstate 35 east access road at Exit 220 Northbound) in Buda.
As the suspects attempted to leave the store without paying for the beer, they assaulted the store clerk who tried to stop them. The clerk suffered minor injuries. The suspects quickly exited the store and entered a black Chevy Trailblazer that waited in the parking lot. The vehicle sped away from the parking lot in an unknown direction of travel.
Buda Police investigators retrieved surveillance video footage of the robbery suspects and ask those who can help identify the suspects to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-324-TIPS (8477).
Those whose submitted information leads to an arrest and indictment will be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000. Those who call Crime Stoppers are given a code number used for payment of the reward. Their identity is never revealed and they have no further involvement in the case. Crimes of interest by Crime Stoppers include murder, aggravated assault, sexual assault, robbery, auto theft, business or residential burglary, felony theft, illegal narcotics, felony fugitives, or any other felony crime.Email | Print
