San Marcos-based Ransom Jack will perform and hold a CD release party at the Texas Music Theater on Oct. 5.

The event will feature an assortment of musical guests and a cornucopia of styles ranging from blues, rock, to rap. The bands include the Victory March and DANGER! CROSSFIRE. Ransom Jack will headline, appearing with special guests G Clef and DJ Hans.

There will be a $5 cover at the door for attendees 21 and older and a $15 for those under 21. Texas Music Theater is at 206 East San Antonio Street in San Marcos.

Ransom Jack features the talents of Zack Taylor, J.C Alvrez and Jarrod Nall. The trio has honed their skills and played gigs for the last four years, and has racked-up more than 250 professional performances in the last four years.

The band will launch their new website,, the day of the concert and CD-release after-party.

The doors at the Texas Music Theater will open at 9 p.m. with the first band, the Victory March, taking the stage at 10 p.m. DANGER! CROSSFIRE! will play at 11:10 p.m. Ransom Jack will get the spotlight at 12:30 a.m. and its CDs and other merchandise will be available at the show for purchase.
