The San Marcos Police Department has recovered the truck belonging to murder victim Frank Urrutia, whose body was found on Friday under a bridge.

A patrol officer found the 2000 GMC Sierra truck in the parking lot of the Verandah Apartments at 1805 Interstate 35 North in San Marcos early Wednesday morning. The vehicle is being examined by the Texas Department of Public Safety Crime Laboratory in Austin.

Urrutia, 51, was found dead Friday under the Blanco River Bridge near I-35 in San Marcos. The cause of death was determined to be a homicide by blunt force trauma, police said.
