Thomas Lux, author of God Particles and Split Horizon, will read from his works at the Wittliff Collections at Texas State University on Sept. 15.

The reading will be at 3:30 p.m. on the 7th floor of the Alkek Library. Lux will also hold a reading 7:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 16 at the Katherine Anne Porter Literary Center in Kyle. Admission to both events is free.

Lux authored Street of Clocks and The Cradle Place, among other poems and books. He is the recipient of grants and fellowships from the Guggenheim Foundation, the Mellon Foundation and the National Endowment for the Arts. Lux is a poetry professor and director of the McEver Visiting Writers program at the Georgia Institute of Technology.

The readings, which are Therese Kayser/Lindsey Katherine Anne Porter Series events, are co-sponsored by Texas State’s English Department and the Wittliff Collections. For more, contact Katie Angermeier at ka23@txstate.edu.
