STAFF REPORT
The Hays County Sheriff’s Office will hold a murder mystery dinner fundraiser in October titled “Til Death Do Us Part.”
Sheriff’s office employees will act in the show, set as a 1940s Italian Mafia wedding reception. Attendees are encouraged to dress in costumes.
The cost of admission to the Oct. 22 event is $25 per person and includes an Italian dinner and the show. Proceeds will be used by the Hays County Sheriff’s Office Brown Santa Program. Donations of unwrapped new toys or money will be accepted at the door.
Tickets can be purchased beginning Aug. 23, Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the HCSO Community Outreach Division, located at the Hays County Law Enforcement Center at 1307 Uhland Road.
The fundraiser will kick-off the sheriff’s office’s Brown Santa Program, which is an annual event to collect toys, food, and funds for Hays County families in need. Brown Santa operations begin late October or early November and culminate in the delivery of Christmas presents and food just before Christmas.
Sac-N-Pac will sponsor the fundraiser, which will be hosted by the sheriff’s office’s Community Outreach Division.
