STAFF REPORT
The San Marcos Education Foundation is now accepting nominations for the 2011 San Marcos High School (SMHS) Distinguished Alumnus Hall of Fame award.
Recipients of the award must be SMHS alumni who have excelled in their chosen professions, served their communities through volunteerism, social service, and leadership, and whose integrity and stature serve as an example to the San Marcos community and beyond. A panel of SMHS graduates will select award recipients. The panel includes community leaders and current SMHS Distinguished Alumnus Hall of Fame members.

Guerrero is also the mayor of San Marcos.
Recipients of the award will be inducted into the San Marcos High School Distinguished Alumnus Hall of Fame as part of the 2011 Rattler Roundup festivities on Oct. 21-22.
