The San Marcos Downtown Farmers’ Market will celebrate the bounty of the season with the annual Tomato Fest Saturday, June 18 on San Antonio Street from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The event will feature a salsa competition (the food not the dance), seed saving and transplant growing workshops and a gardeners’ seed swap. For further information, please contact Kevin Adams at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The second season of the San Marcos Downtown Farmers’ Market is well underway. Saturday mornings bring local farmers to San Antonio Street on the downtown square selling seasonal vegetables, fruits, and plants. Crafters offer locally handcrafted items.
The market also offers baked goods, eggs, meat, locally roasted coffee, prepared foods, refreshments and free, live, local music.
The Downtown Farmers’ Market is a joint project of San Marcos Farmer’s Market Association, San Marcos Parks and Recreation, and the San Marcos Main Street Program and takes place every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on San Antonio Street downtown.
