San Marcos resident Terri Henrix, a Grammy Award-winning contemporary folk singer-songwriter, will perform at 7:30 p.m. tonight at San Marcos Park Plaza.
The event is part of the Summer in the Park concert series, a durable local tradition in its 25th year. The series is produced by the city of San Marcos’ Parks & Recreation department and the San Marcos Performing Arts Association with funding from the San Marcos Arts Commission.
Hendrix’s performance tonight is sponsored by the Price Seniors Center. Hendrix co-wrote the Dixie Chick’s song “Lil’ Jack Slade” which won a Grammy for Best Country Instrumental Performance in 2002.
The concert series will continue June 23 with Mariachi Nueva Generacion.
