Public invited to homebuyer program

The San Marcos Area Board of Realtors and the City of San Marcos will present a seminar on home buying 6-8 p.m. Thursday, April 28 at the San Marcos Public Library, 625 E. Hopkins.

The public is invited to learn more about the home buying process, financing, how to choose a Realtor, and what to expect at closing.

Janis Hendrix, the city’s community initiatives administrator, will present information about city of San Marcos housing incentive programs for First Time Homebuyers and incentives for Texas State University professors, staff at Seton Hospital in Kyle, and San Marcos fire and police officers.

“If you are a first time home buyer or you are simply looking to move up in today’s market, all are invited to attend,” said Amy DuBose, the board of Realtor’s association executive.

Established in 1960, The San Marcos Area Board of Realtors is a 501(c)6 trade organization, the largest of its kind in Hays County. Questions can be submitted directly to the board via email to amy@smabor.com.
