Devil’s Hollow to play final spring concert this week

Local band Devil’s Hollow will headline the fourth and final performance of the Keep San Marcos Beautiful Spring Concert Series at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 14 at San Marcos Plaza Park, 401 E. Hopkins St.

The free concert series highlights an array of musical talent, art, eco and food vendors in a family-friendly environment. The concert will open up with a performance by Jasper and headlined by local band Devil’s Hollow.

Formed in 2006, Devil’s Hollow has a southern blues- rock funk sound. They are influenced by bands such as The Doors, Led Zeppelin, J.J. Cale, Cream, The Gourds, and ZZ Top. Last year they recorded their first album and have continued to play shows throughout central Texas, opening for such acts as, Bob Schneider and Del Castillo.

Event coordinators encourage all members of the community to bring their lawn chairs, blankets, and coolers to enjoy the last night of the concert series. Vendor booths will open at 6:30, with the opening act, Jasper, starting at 7:00 and Devil’s Hollow performing at 8:30. The KSMB concert series has been made possible by Tres Hefter of Tall Man Records, and sponsors: Carson Properties, Leon Breedon Attorney at Law, Full Circle Salon, Haircuts Etc., Milagros Hill Country Tex Mex, Preimer Cuts, Tantra Coffee House, Root Cellar Café, Village Sensei Learning Center, and Schwartz and Associates.
