Center for Texas Music History goes unplugged

The 11th annual Texas Music History UnPlugged concert, scheduled for 8-10 p.m. Tuesday, April 12, will feature performances and discussion by  Joe Ely, Willy and Cody Braun of Reckless Kelly, Kevin Welch, Terri Hendrix, Lloyd Maines, Star de Azlan and others.

The concert, to be held in the LBJ Student Center Ballroom on the Texas State University campus, is free and open to the public. Seating is limited.

The popular concert series, sponsored since 2000 by the Center for Texas Music History in the Department of History, brings prominent Texas musicians to campus to perform and discuss how Texas music history reflects the historical and cultural evolution of the Southwest. Previous concerts have featured composers and performers of a wide variety of Texas music.
