Traffic Report: 02/27/11 to 03/05/11

Street and utility work expected to affect local traffic this week:

• CHEATHAM STREET – 800 Block:  Beginning mid-week and continuing through early March, the 800 Block between Sycamore and Riverside will be closed for wastewater utility work. Motorists will be detoured to Riverside, Haynes, McKinnon and Field Street to avoid the area. Rio Vista Terrace Neighborhood Infrastructure project. Capital Improvements, 393-8130.
• CHEATHAM STREET – 1100-1200 Block:  Until mid-week, the southbound lane in 1100-1200 blocks adjacent to Hopkins will be closed from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. daily for installation of wastewater lines. Rio Vista Terrace Neighborhood Infrastructure project. Capital Improvements, 393-8130.
• SYCAMORE STREET: Open to traffic with utility construction continuing until further notice. Rio Vista Terrace Neighborhood Infrastructure project. Capital Improvements, 393-8130.
• HAYNES STREET: Street construction and excavating for base paving in the 1100-1300 blocks through March.  Construction of driveways, sidewalks, curbs & gutter also underway. Rio Vista Terrace Neighborhood Infrastructure project. Capital Improvements, 393-8130.
• FIELD STREET: Street construction and excavation underway for base paving in the 1100 block with work continuing toward the 900 – 1000 block. Rio Vista Terrace Neighborhood Infrastructure project. Capital Improvements, 393-8130.
• CASTLE CREEK DRIVE: Roadway closed to through traffic between Lisa Lane and Nevada Street until early April for drainage improvements. Traffic will be detoured around construction zone. • PROSPECT-DARTMOUTH INTERSECTION: The intersection at Prospect Street and Dartmouth Street will be closed periodically through early March for drainage improvements. Motorists should detour to Bishop, Progress, Columbia, Clara and Brown Street to avoid the area. Please also be aware of traffic flaggers, construction workers and heavy equipment on Bishop Street. • EAST HUTCHISON STREET: 200 block, parking area closed and alley will be closed between North LBJ Drive and North Edward Gary Street to through traffic until March 31, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. due to soil removal from construction site.
