The Environmental Conservation Organization at Texas State University is sponsoring an Edible San Marcos farmers market on campus March 3, April 6 and May 4.
The farmers market will be open 11 a.m.-4 p.m. on the Quad.
The farmers market will feature fresh, sustainable, local produce. Prepared foods include tamales (with vegan and vegetarian choices), beignets, pralines and British food from Full English Foods. The market also offers grass-fed beef, raw cheese, fair-trade organic coffee, fresh produce, organic soaps, lotions, granola, nuts, salsas, fish, jewelry and more.
The campus farmers market is one of several held regularly in Hays County. San Marcos hosts markets 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday on the downtown square and 3-6 p.m. Tuesdays on C.M. Allen Parkway. Buda holds a farmers market on Main Street downtown 9 a.m. to noon on Saturdays as does Wimberley 3-6 p.m. on first Wednesdays on Ranch Road 12 across the seniors center.Email | Print
