Hernandez art classes celebrate Black History Month

Hernandez Elementary School second-grader Torie Johnson celebrated Black History Month by drawing her impression of Rosa Parks.

February is Black History Month and the students at Hernandez Elementary School are studying George Washington Carver, Jacob Lawrence and John Henry in their art classes.

The art classes are taught by Stephanie Scudday and Kay Posey. One of their second grade students, Torie Johnson, celebrated the month by drawing her impression of Rosa Parks.
