Trail riders arrive in downtown today

The annual GRA-Trails riders will arrive at the San Marcos courthouse square late Monday morning on their annual trek to the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo.

The GRA-Trails trail riders will make their annual stop in downtown San Marcos on Monday, Jan. 31 on their way to the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo.

The riders will be treated to lunch in downtown cafes, courtesy of the Downtown  Association and Main Street Program. After lunch, guests will enjoy Jon & Val Agee’s “almost-world famous” peach cobbler.

The east bound lane of San Antonio Street and the inside lane of N. LBJ will be closed to traffic on the square to ensure safety of the riders and horses.

The public is invited to join in welcoming the riders on Jan. 31. They are expected to arrive about 11-11:30 a.m., escorted by the Hays County Sheriff’s office.
