‘Texas Music Matters’ photography exhibit unveiled tonight

An art show on the theme of Texas music will open in the Walker’s Gallery of the San Marcos Activity Center with a reception 5-7:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 28.

Celebrating the Center for Texas Music History at Texas State University and the Cheatham Street Music Foundation, “Texas Music Matters” features photographs of Texas musicians by artists that include Alan Pogue, Julia Sola, David Harmon and Diana Hendricks.

The event will include live music by HalleyAnna Finlay, Kathleen O’Keefe, Josh Dodds and others and screening of short films from the center’s archives.
