STAFF REPORT
The San Marcos City Council will preview the agenda for Tuesday’s regular meeting at an advance “packet meeting” at 7:30 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 31. The session will be posted and is open to the public.
“Our goal with the packet meeting is to give the City Council the opportunity to ask questions and staff to provide insights about agenda items in advance of the regular meeting,” said Jim Nuse, City Manager.
“No decisions will be made at this session,” he added. “However, it will give staff time to do additional research, as needed. We hope it will streamline the regular session and improve the information available to the Council and the public in the decision-making process.”
The packet meeting will be held at 7:30 a.m. Monday in the City Council Chambers, City Hall, 630 E. Hopkins and is expected to last an hour. It will not be televised.
The regular meeting will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, February 1 in City Council Chambers. That agenda will include a discussion on when to hold future packet meetings.
