Tickets now on sale for Golden Sweethearts Ball

All couples and singles age 50 and older are invited to attend the 12th Annual Golden Sweethearts Ball at the San Marcos Activity Center, 501 East Hopkins Street from 6-10 p.m. on Feb. 11. The event is hosted by the Parks and Recreation Department and the Senior Citizen Advisory Board.

The evening will include a dinner prepared by All Occasions Catering and a dance with music provided by Sound Experience.  Dinner will be served at 7 p.m. and a cash bar will be available throughout the evening.

Attire for the event is dressy to semi-formal.

Tickets are on sale at the Parks and Recreation main office at 401 East Hopkins Street. Ticket prices are $5 per person if purchased before Feb. 2 and $7 if purchased from Feb. 3-9. Tickets must be purchased in advance as no tickets will be sold at the event.

The Golden Sweetheart’s Ball is able to offer tickets at reasonable prices due to the Senior Citizen Advisory Board’s activities and fundraisers which help to offset activity and event program prices. The board works closely with the Parks and Recreation Department to make this happen.
