Golden Sweethearts’ Ball on Feb. 11

The City of San Marcos Parks and Recreation Department and the Senior Citizen Advisory Board invite all couples and singles ages 50 and better to attend the 12th Annual Golden Sweethearts’ Ball.

The special Valentine’s Celebration will be 6 p.m to 10 p.m on Friday, Feb. 11 at the San Marcos Activity Center, 501 E. Hopkins. Evening festivities include an elegant dance with music by Sound Experience  and a delicious dinner prepared by All Occasions Catering. Dinner will be served buffet style at 7 p.m. with a cash bar available throughout the evening.

The attire for the event is dressy to semi-formal. Advance tickets are on sale now at the San Marcos Parks and Recreation main office, 401 E. Hopkins.  Tickets may be purchased for $5 per person through Feb. 2 and $7 per person from Feb. 3 – 9. All ticket purchases must be made in advance as tickets will not be sold at the event.

The Senior Citizen Advisory Board works with Parks and Recreation activities and holds fundraisers to offset event and program expenses. The Sweethearts’ Ball’s ticket prices are made possible through funds raised by this group. To purchase tickets for the event or for more information, please call Parks and Recreation at 512-393-8400.
