STAFF REPORT

Last week, Travis Elementary School held the finals in its Geography Bee contest. The competition boiled down to ten fifth grade students from the Geography Enrichment class.

The event, moderated by Travis Librarian Jan Rudnicki, left two students standing, with Will Hutchinson taking first place honors and Desiree Jackson coming in second. Hutchinson was awarded a medal for his performance.

Hutchinson will now take a written test to hopefully qualify for advancement to state level competition.
