Fifth Annual Senior Citizen Expo to be held Thursday

Seniors and their caregivers should take note that the fifth Annual Senior Citizen EXPO will be Thursday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the San Marcos Activity Center, 501 East Hopkins Street. The event is hosted by the City of San Marcos Parks and Recreation Department and the Senior Citizen Advisory Board.  The event is free and open to the public.

The EXPO will feature vendor booths, door prizes and giveaways. Light lunch refreshments will be served from noon-1 p.m.

“All San Marcos senior adults are encouraged to participate in the free EXPO to see the plentiful array of goods, services, organizations, discounts and clubs available to them in our area,” said Recreations Program Coordinator Jessica Jenkins. “We also want to extend or special thanks to our Gold, Silver and Bronze sponsors whose support makes this event possible.”

The San Marcos Tourist Information Center and Mariposa Apartment Homes are Gold sponsors for the event.

The EXPO will have vendors showcasing 50 retirement communities, civic and community organizations, chiropractors, medical equipment companies, nursing care facilities, home health agencies and more.
