Kyle police investigate homicide

STAFF REPORT

The Kyle Police Department (KPD) is investigating a Monday morning homicide at Aztec Mobile Home Park.

KPD was dispatched to 291 Roland Lane at 4:10 a.m. after receiving several calls of shots being fired at that location. On arrival, officers initiated a search the area of immediate area and located a body of a Hispanic male laying near a vacant mobile home on lot 49.

The victim, a resident of Aztec Village, is identified as Gabriel Vasquez, 36.

Hays County Precinct 2 Justice of the Peace Beth Smith pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.

Police have not identified a motive or any possible suspects in this shooting.
