STAFF REPORT

Community and Texas State leaders were recognized earlier this month for preparing Monday’s Martin Luther King Day commemoration.

The program began with a 10:30 a.m. meeting on the steps of the Hays County Courthouse and continued with a march down LBJ Drive and MLK Drive to the Dunbar Community Center.

The council also recognized a Texas State planning committee that prepared this week’s events to celebrate the civil rights legacy throughout this week.
