On November 2 1984, Ronald Reagan declared the third Monday of each month in January as Martin Luther King, Jr. Day to commemorate the life and contributions of the Civil Rights leader. “Everyone in the community is invited to help celebrate this great man’s birthday,” said Dunbar Heritage Association President Harvey Miller.
