County to swear in new officials on Jan. 4

Many newly elected and re-elected Hays County officials will be sworn into office on Jan. 4.

The county is inviting the public to the ceremony, at 9 a.m. in the commissioners courtroom. A reception will follow.

A clean Republican sweep in the November election will result in a substantially new court being sworn into office. The newcomers on the court will be Bert Cobb (R-San Marcos) as Hays County judge, Mark Jones (R-Kyle) as Precinct 2 commissioner and Ray Whisenant (R-Dripping Springs) as Precinct 4 commissioners.
