Pink heals campaign raises $12,000

San Marcos Fire Department (SMFD) Engineer Andrea Acosta and San Marcos Police Department (SMPD) Officer Danny Arredondo recently present the $12,000 raised during the 2010 Pink Heals Campaign to Hays County Community Action, Central Texas Medical Center, the Breast Cancer Resource Center and the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

The presentation took place at the San Marcos Area Chamber of Commerce holiday mixer held at Central Texas Medical Center earlier this month. The money was raised through the sale of 1,065 t-shirts and a 5K run-walk.
