Bobcats lose again, fall to 2-6

Shooting only 26.9 percent in the first half, the Texas State men’s basketball team fell off quickly Thursday night and lost, 78-64, to Texas Southern in its first game at the Heritage Classic in Fort Worth.

The loss dropped Texas State to 2-6, while Texas Southern improved to 2-7.

The Bobcats trailed, 37-21, at halftime.

Texas Southern’s Travele Jones led all scorers with 20 points. Travis Jones scored 19 to lead the Bobcats.
