Texas State announced Thursday that Vice President for University Advancement Becky Prince is resigning, effective on Jan. 19, to become director of development for the Dallas Museum of Art.
Prince joined Texas State in 2004 as director of development. She became executive director of the Texas State Development Foundation in May 2005 and was promoted to her present position in June 2006.
“I am very sorry that Becky Prince is leaving Texas State University,” Texas State President Denise Trauth said. “However, she is taking advantage of a great opportunity and I am very happy for her. During her six years at our university, Becky has made enormous contributions to University Advancement. She will always be a part of our Bobcat family.”
Said Texas State development foundation chair Tom Kowalski, “Becky Prince has done a fine job on behalf of Texas State. She has helped to establish a strong foundation for the Pride in Action Campaign and helped set the course for the future for our university. We wish her well as she pursues a new direction.”
Trauth said a search to replace Prince will begin immediately. Ted McKinnon, the university’s assistant vice president for Development, has been named interim vice president for university advancement. McKinnon has been with the division of university advancement for 13 years.Email | Print
