Participants also will receive free copies of Quicken Starter Edition financial software.

The workshop is sponsored by the San Marcos First-Time Home Buyer Program, the San Marcos Housing Authority, 1836 Realty, Friends of the Library, and Inspecttex Inspections.

  2. Kudos to the SM Library for providing a free workshop aimed to educate the local San Marcos community on home ownership. But I take serious issue with one point: why is an Austin real estate firm sponsoring the event? There are several knowledgeable, locally owned and locally run real estate firms right here in San Marcos….all of which would probably be willing to sponsor this event.
