San Marcos Mayor Daniel Guerrero and directors of the Lyndon Baines Johnson Museum of San Marcos light up the museum’s Christmas tree Monday night.
The Lyndon Baines Johnson Museum of San Marcos observed its fifth anniversary with the lighting of its Christmas tree Monday night.
Museum board members and guests gathered around the museum’s Christmas tree as San Marcos Mayor Daniel Guerrero flipped the switch to turn on the tree.
Museum hours are Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The tree lighting reception gave those attending the opportunity to learn more about plans for renovating the expansive top floor of the county-owned building that houses the museum. The museum also is creating archival and curation areas on the first floor.
Although the museum will be closed during part of the work, it is expected to be open through most of January.Email | Print
