Texas State to present monster-laden Christmas play

Texas State’s Department of Theatre and Dance will present a holiday classic with a monstrous twist Friday through Sunday.

Texas State’s Department of Theatre and Dance will present a favorite family-friendly performance of “A Monster Carol” Friday through Sunday on the main stage of the Theatre Center on campus.

The play is a spooky and funny twist on the Charles Dickens classic with the action taking place in a wax museum full of monster statues that come to life after the doors are locked. The monsters play out their own funny and strange version of “A Christmas Carol.”

The play is written and directed by Dwight Markham.

Following the performances the cast will take part in a “Monster Picture Party” with the audience.

The play will run at 7 p.m. Friday and  at 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
