The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) will shut down Interstate-35 on the nights of Dec. 7-8 from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. in order to demolish the bridge at CR 210 at Dry Hole Road/Windy Hill Road.
The northbound lanes will be closed on Dec. 7, and the southbound lanes will be shut down on Dec. 8. The traffic will be detoured to access roads around the construction at the north and southbound exit 217 in Buda and will reenter the main lanes at the next ramp.
The bridge is being demolished to make room for a new five-lane span across the interstate. The $13.1 million project also includes constructing a north-to-south turnaround bridge and extending the southbound access road between CR 210 and Kyle Parkway.
Work began on the project in November 2009.Email | Print
