Miller Middle School’s National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) recently participated with the Project Share Organization’s shoebox initiative. The project’s goal was to fill shoe boxes with small gifts for children around the world.
The Miller Middle School NJHS students collected enough to fill 20 shoe boxes with gifts.
In addition, they collected money for Hays County Food Bank’s Turkeys Tackling Hunger, a program that supplies economically stressed families with a turkey dinner for Thanksgiving. The Miller NJHS collected enough money to buy 12 turkey boxes at $20 each.
