Sights and Sounds Gala to kick off annual Christmas festival


The Sights and Sounds festival Gala committee will present a Night at the Theatre Gala on Nov. 30 at 6 p.m. at the City of San Marcos Conference Center, 1001 East McCarty Lane.

The event will feature the San Marcos High School Theatre Arts Department performing scenes from its production of George Bernard Shaw’s “The Dark Lady of the Sonnets.” They also will perform a short student play adaptation of “The Twelve Days of Christmas.” The performances are under the direction of Jack Moore.

A holiday plated dinner will also be featured at the gala.

Tickets to the event are $45 for individuals with table sponsorships available at $450 for a table of eight and $550 for a table of ten.  Tickets are available by reservation only and will not be sold at the door. All proceeds will benefit the Sights and Sounds Christmas festival.

The gala will be held on the evening before the annual Sights and Sounds of Christmas festival, which will be held for four nights from Dec.1-4.

The 24th annual event will feature thousands of holiday lights, foods of all kinds, rides, angel choirs, historic Bethlehem animals and photos with Santa.
