Kyle police arrest day care owner

Kyle police have arrested the owner of a Kyle day care center for injury to a child, which is a first degree felony.

The Kyle Police Department (KPD) arrested Christina Lyons, 32, owner of the Little Lyons Cub Day Care at 561 Keystone Loop, on Nov. 19. Lyons was released on Nov. 20 on $50,000 bond.

On Nov. 18, KPD responded to the home-based day care for reported injuries to a 10-week-old child. The child was transported to Dell Children’s Hospital in Austin with head injuries. Investigating officers said in the probable cause affidavit that they believe the account given by Lyons was inconsistent with the child’s injuries.

KPD is not releasing the name of the child due to privacy concerns for the family.

  1. I hope I am wrong, but I saw an update on a friend’s Facebook page that indicated that the child passed away last night. If this is true, my heart goes out to the family and I hope this lady gets the chair….
